Tristen was a smart kid… maybe even a genius. Everyone said so. He graduated from high school with pretty good grades. The one criticism from all his teachers was, “Tristen doesn’t apply himself.” He moved on to college and pursued the traditional college experience and education. He was busy and engaged; but by the time graduation rolled around, he felt unsure of his next step. His college degree wouldn’t immediately get him a great-paying job, so he took the “wise” choice and buckled down into steady employment to gain the necessary experience he needed to climb the ladder. After a year or two, Tristen was stuck. He’s still doing the typical grind just like everyone else, not struggling too hard but not blazing his own trail either. Could his life have turned out differently?
How is your life turning out?
Whether you went to college or not isn’t the issue. Educational institutions only provide surface level teaching. They share what they want you to know, which leaves you to live an inevitably reactionary life. The question is are you content with accepting the instruction you receive from others or do you aim to dig deeper?
Let’s put this in the framework of Facebook. Do you like Facebook (or any social media really)? Do you play any games?
Did you know that Facebook is the largest surveillance tool in the world? When you play a game or take a quiz to find out your doppelganger celebrity, you’ve given these systems access to all your data and allowing them to profile you. If you don’t understand their intentions, how will these platforms or technologies better your life? You’re a puppet, a helpless target, and they are making billions of dollars off your data. Today it’s toilet paper, but what about tomorrow?
Are you a critical thinker? Do you dig beyond the surface of what you’re told? Are you settling for surface level entertainment or do you want to take back your power?
What does this mean?
People living a predictably college-graduate life are simply copying and pasting what they’ve been taught is the “best way” without thinking about it. You must ask ‘why’ about everything you’re told in order to seek out the true motivation.
Part of this growth means strategizing and analyzing things at a deeper level rather than simply accepting what your nightly news station tells you. Your analysis and critical thinking should enable projections of coming policies and international agreements so you can prepare and capitalize on these situations rather than getting caught unexpectedly… focusing on surface level distractions.
How deep does your critical thinking go? This is simply an assessment for you (and maybe even food for thought for you to study further).
- How are you organizing all your brilliant ideas?
- Are you mentoring someone or being mentored?
- Have you heard of Intelligence Amplification (not the same as Artificial Intelligence)?
- What kind of legacy do you wish to leave behind? Have you set up a plan?
- Bitcoin technology...what do you know?
- Have you heard of cold storage of digital assets?
- What steps have you taken to live successfully in a digital world?
- What do you know of decentralized technology and networking?
- Have you started an online business in the past year? Why or why not?
In this age of technology, where nearly 60% of the whole world is connected by the internet, you have a huge audience with whom you can share your ideas and live a wholly independent and sovereign life. All it takes is a bit of critical thinking and collaboration with like-minded individuals and you have the power to change the world.
What’s your destination?
How can the Initiative help you get there?
Forget about your goals, inspiration and motivation. That’s all jargon… it doesn’t get you past the front door.
Your life is built upon and remembered by each destination you achieved. When beginning any new trip, you must start having already-- in your mind -- arrived at your destination. The satisfaction and reward are obtained upon arrival. These destinations make up the story of your life and mark the paths you chose paving the way for others to follow.
Refusing to get hung up on standard jargon and wishes and, instead, move through your life already knowing your destination takes indisputable focus, sensible intentionality and a level of critical thinking most people do not possess. It's time to have an adventure.
Life is a marathon for the true sovereign individual
It is not a sprint and there are many opportunities that rise up from trial and failure
Get based in life and the distance will come with ease
It’s time to start your journey
